Working from home and MIB help

This weekend I had to do a few hours of work from home.  I hated to do it but it had to be done.  MIB hates it when I have to work but I've figured out how to get her involved.

I had to organize some papers for a monthly project I do for my job.  It basically involves putting receipts in numerical order, sorting and stapling sets of invoices, and putting the receipts with the original invoices.  It's a tedious and boring job that needs to get done and MIB would rather be spending time with me so I try to find a way to spend time with her and get her involved while I'm working.

One thing that I'll have her do is shake my mouse if I have to run to the bathroom to keep the screen from timing out.  I inform her to shake it to the left and right one time each and she's really good about being "mommy's mouse shaker."  Or I'll have her, in her words, "staplelize" my papers.  While we're doing this she'll ask me what is she "staplelizing" and what are they for or what do I do with the papers once I get them to work.  It gives me a chance to talk to her about my job and what she would like to be when she grows up.  Bonding time while getting paid...can't beat it.

It's not much but she loves being mommy's assistant and I love being able to spend time with her even when I am working.

YCMs/YCFs - how do you interact with your MIB when you have to bring work home?
